Pete 2 vs 0 Danielsan
And we also have a surprise second place prize! An 11 man, 100-Tick, 1000FPS server from RTL-Servers, with a 10-man Vent or TS2, all configured and ready to go. Judging by the superb quality of the match servers this event, I'm sure the server will be good!
Thanks to everybody for participating, and staying through the delays.
And last, but not least: A HUGE thanks to our sponsors!
MonkeyWare - Have given us a Q6600 for the event, something that has made all the hard work in practising maps, hanging around and fragging worth it!
RTL-Servers - Not only providing us with top-notch servers, but great support and help running the event, SourceTV, staff vent AND a second place prize!

Source Junky, in association with Tigit Radio, are proud to present to you a new concept in e-sports interactive journalism. This Friday 19th October saw the first airing of a new live radio show presented by ViniH and Dr Gonzo. The show, Friday Night In, is planned to air each friday at 8pm GMT and run for two hours. The show will focus on a themed topic each week and will feature debate and discussion from the hosts as well as range of guests. Listeners will be invited to join in as well with phone-in style participation.
The general topic for the first show was the CGS and it's impact on the Counter-Strike Source scene both here in the UK and around the world.
The first show went really well after an initial technical glitch.
Our thanks to all our guests:
Mark Dolven - Carolina Core Tom "URL" Chenery - London Mint Nat "Tils" Tilsley - XciteUK Mike "ODEE" O'Dell - Birmingham Salvo
Download the MP3 of the show HERE .
If you want to suggest a topic for next week's show please post in this thread or contact ViniH or DrGonzo on QuakeNet IRC.

Winters' over at clanbase has done a nice little interview with Proph from fnatic -
Here is an excerpt - his response to a question about the CGS draft.
"Well I think we still deserve the number one spot even though we didnt place first in CGS. We had the best performances throughout the previous year and we still did well in the combine, I dont see why we wouldnt deserve the first place :-)."

Within the space of 24 hours we're linking stories from both the BBC and Sky News that are relevant to us. How fast is gaming moving towards mainstream?
Margaret Hodge, the Minister of State for Culture, Media & Sport has been invited to give a speech at this year's Entertainment & Leisure Software Publishers Association AGM.
This is something we should keep an eye on... the government is starting to take notice of the impact of gaming, especially on children. Nothing good ever comes of government sticking it's nose into anything. Read more for the link and some excerpts.
