Whilst watching the CSS scene recently, I have been hearing various different opinions on the subject of friendships, managers, top teams and going pro. In this article I will be exploring friendships inside of teams and how to get motivation without upsetting your friends, and hopefully find some sort of formula or balance between friendship and strictness, to create the perfect team and to go pro...

It was announced today that fnatic's Source team have now become professional gamers and will now earn salaries. They join three other fnatic teams: 1.6, Quakee4 and WoW. The news comes after many months of fnatic being (almost) unbeatable in every LAN they have attended. AirRaid had this to say:
We are extremely happy to be in Fnatic Professional now, with the
upgraded support we can focus on just playing Counter-Strike: Source
even more to try and keep dominating the European elite scene, like we
have been doing the last months.
The fnatic.CSS lineup is, as ever: Blaze, proph, darky, AirRaid, and xertion. Congratulations to the team and the organisation from all here at SourceJunky!

Angel Mounez has sent out the following email to try and get people signed up for the CPL
wanted to update everyone on the Counter-Strike Source tournament. Our tournaments are based on participation and we need the community's support.
The initial idea was to host a $50,000 64-team tournament, but it seems to us that expecting 64-teams to register is no longer realistic, and therefore we decided to reduce the tournament to 32 teams. Now that does not even look likely.
Only 6 teams have already completed their registration and another 9 teams are in process of registration. That's just 15 teams total.
We definitely want to hold the CS Source tournament at the Winter Event, but we really need more teams to register by Monday, November 12, 2007.
Can you help us get the word out?

Please support the scene we have been asking for source to be given a chance on the big stage now lets take the oppurtunity
